Job Description
- Strategically plan and manage logistics
- Direct and develop new strategies to streamline processes, optimise cargo and reduce costs
- Research ideal shipping techniques (including pallet patterns), routing and carriers
- Select carriers and negotiate contract and best rates to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
- Partner and communicate with suppliers, and manufacturers and their loading department
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs/shipping quotes and efficiency
- Source and supervise external warehouses
- Meet cost, quality, efficiency, customer satisfaction, accuracy and timelines targets in order to safeguard smooth operations in a variety of channels
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints and find root cause and communicate with customer
- Arrange the necessary paperwork (shipment invoices, import/export documentation)
- Create and manage budgets, prepare forecast
Skills
Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
